Vortice Ltd has supplied its Vort Prometeo heat recovery system to a contractor in Cornwall, Tee Ltd to install within an old mine engine house at Wheal Kitty near St Agnes.
Vort Prometeo is a heat recovery system designed to the highest environmental standards, with a tremendous heat exchange efficiency of up to 92%. It has Appendix Q eligibility when installed on a ground breaking Kitchen plus up to 8 additional wet rooms configuration.
Designed primarily for the housing market, with the Code for Sustainable Homes embedded into its design ethos, it extracts from wet rooms and recovers heat for use elsewhere in the building. It has DC Motors, remote status display of humidity and CO2 levels plus an automatic (or user controlled) boost speed.
In the case of the Cornish engine house, one of the companies using the building is UKNetWeb, a web development company.
