Axter

ROOFS ARE NOT DEAD SPACE
Roofs, traditionally seen solely as a means of keeping a building dry, can be a valuable resource, providing additional amenity space, contributing to biodiversity, retaining rainwater or generating electricity.
Axter provides solutions for all these options, incorporating specially conceived and manufactured waterproofing membranes suitable for each application. Our extensive and intensive green roofs can be designed to help reduce urban temperatures and to gain a Surface Water Credit (SUR1) as detailed in the Code for Sustainable Homes. Roofs can also be used to generate electricity, in particular by the modern, cost-effective and aesthetic option of incorporating thin film photovoltaic cells in the top layer of the roof waterproofing.
At Ecobuild 2011 on Stand S1170 Axter will show green roof constructions including the unique Hydropack green roof in a tray and the General Solar photovoltaic integrated roofing system which is registered under the BRE Microgeneration Certification Scheme enabling building owners to take advantage of the government’s generous feed-in tariff.

Through early involvement in a project Axter’s design team can deliver value engineering to help specifiers gain maximum benefit from their roof spaces. Our free technical design and site monitoring services are backed by long term comprehensive guarantees.
